The Carr Cares Foundation was founded to inspire young students to become proficient readers by providing learning tools and resources to help them reach their full potential. In addition to the Carr Cares literacy initiatives, the Foundation also encourages students to live a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness and balanced nutrition.

Carr Cares Foundation Hosts 6th Annual Brandon Carr Elite Football & Cheerleading Camp

Brandon Carr, NFL Cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, hosted his Sixth Annual Football & Cheerleading camp in Flint, Michigan. Carr brought Baltimore Raven teammates Chuck Clark & Marlon Humphrey to assist with the youth camp.

Carr Cares Foundation Hosts "Pitch Flint: Young Entrepreneur Challenge 2019"

On June 14, 2019, the Carr Cares Foundation hosted the highly anticipated “Pitch Flint: Young Entrepreneur Challenge 2019” at the Ferris Wheel in downtown Flint, Michigan. In partnership with 100k ideas and the Community Foundation of Flint, the Carr Cares Foundation was able to put on its first inaugural student business pitch competition during Brandon Carr’s annual charity weekend. The competition featured six contestants between the ages of 12-15, whom competed for the opportunity to win as much as $5,000 of grant money to kickstart their business.

Carr Cares Hosts “Chopped For a Cause” Fundraiser

The Carr Cares Foundation hosted their first inaugural “Chopped for a Cause” cooking competition that took place at Tre Wilcox Cooking Concepts in Plano, TX. The event, which is now scheduled to be one of their annual fundraisers, was an evening spent raising money through silent and live auctions, sponsorships, and a fun interactive cooking contest.

Flint native and Ravens defensive back Brandon Carr earned the national “Inspiration to Youth Award” on Saturday, May 25th at the 59th Pop Warner Little Scholar All-American Scholars Banquet. Pop Warner Little Scholars, the nation’s oldest youth football, cheer and dance organization and the only one with established academic standards, honored thousands of young student-athletes from around the country who earned a 96% GPA or higher.

Baltimore Ravens Standout Brandon Carr Hosts Bright Smiles Kids Awards

On February 15th, more than 300 of Baltimore’s Arlington Elementary School students donned top hats and tiaras, boas and bow ties today to attend the Bright Smiles Kids Awards hosted by Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures in celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month.

Brandon Carr Introduces New Literacy Initiative Titled “Lit Buddies”

Brandon Carr and his Carr Cares Foundation created a new literacy initiative titled “Lit Buddies”, to promote a culture of reading amongst young students by providing books and other fun literary resources on a bi-monthly basis. Brandon Carr donated 250 year-long subscriptions to students in Dallas, Texas and Baltimore, Maryland.
