6th Annual Brandon Carr Elite Football & Cheerleading Camp

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Brandon Carr returned home to host his 6th annual youth football & cheerleading camp in Flint, Michigan. More than 400 student athletes took the field at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School on Saturday, June 15th.The camp is designed to introduce children to football & cheerleading by teaching basic skills in an exciting and energetic environment while helping more experienced athletes elevate their game through specialized training.

The camp has continued to be a staple in the Flint community since its inception. Student athletes, coaches, and parents look forward to Carr coming home to put on his camp every summer. Carr has especially enjoyed watching the youth grow from attending his camps to producing on the high school level.

“I have a warm spot in my heart for this city because it made me into the person I am today,” said Carr. “We’ve got a lot of youth that have a lot of talent and they just need the exposure. They need that motivation to get to the next level.”

Carr brought in a team of trainers, coaches, and players to instruct the participants, including Ravens teammates Chuck Clark and Marlon Humphrey. Carr also received coaching assistance from his Alma Mater, Grand Valley State University. Head coach Matt Mitchell and some of his current players came in to help coach the youth and support the former Laker.
