The Carr Cares Foundation is ready for football season as Brandon Carr enters his 11th season of his National Football League career, but that’s not the only exciting thing starting up this fall. The Carr Cares Foundation is thrilled to announce their new partnership with EVERFI, Inc., leading technology innovator, to provide students at elementary schools in Flint, MI; Dallas, TX and Baltimore, MD with health and wellness education using a digital program sponsored by the Carr Cares Foundation.

5th Annual Elite Football and Cheerleading Camp

Brandon Carr Hosts 5th Annual Elite Football and Cheerleading Camp

On June 16th, 2018, Brandon Carr hosted his 5th annual youth football and cheerleading camp. Over 200 student-athletes took the field at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School to learn new skills and techniques.

The Camp was broken up into two sessions to assure the best experience for student-athletes. Youth athletes (ages 7-13) participated in session one and all high school athletes participated in session two. The student-athletes participated in comprehensive speed and agility drills used by professionals and college teams to improve their coordination, overall skills,

Celebrity Charity Weekend

The Carr Cares Foundation Hosts Celebrity Charity Weekend

On June 15th, 2018, the Carr Cares Foundation hosted a charity comedy show at the historic Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint, MI. The show featured DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, and Chico Bean; three of the funniest comedians from MTV & Nick Cannon’s “Wild’N Out” sketch comedy series. The crowd was in for a treat as the trio did not disappoint, providing an evening full of laughs.

Brandon Carr Keynote Speaker at College Signing Day

On April 24th, 2018, a nervous Brandon Carr found himself entering a tunnel that led to 10, 000 cheering families, except on this occasion it wasn’t to enter a football game. A far too familiar feeling as Brandon has played in over 160 straight games as an NFL cornerback. On this day, he was entering the arena at UT-Arlington as the keynote speaker for Uplift Education’s College signing day. A celebratory event that features Uplift seniors as they walk across the stage enthusiastically unveiling their future college.

Brandon’s mission as the keynote speaker was to leave Uplift Education’s senior class with not only words of encouragement,

MegaFest 2017

The Carr Cares Foundation Joins MegaFest 2017

In June of 2017 the Carr Cares Foundation had the opportunity to be a part of one of Dallas’ biggest events, MegaFest 2017, and oh was it a mega event. Over 100,000 people participated in this year’s festivities. The Carr Cares Foundation was honored to come to the event as an Educational Sponsor which allowed the Foundation to support the event by educating attendees on why childhood literacy is so important.

The Village Expo at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center was the scene for most of the Foundation’s educational outreach, being the home for its Reading Corner sponsored by TakeStock Inventory.

The Carr Cares Foundation Goes To Flint, MI for the 4th Annual Brandon Carr Elite Football & Cheerleading Camp

On June 10, 2017, the Carr Cares Foundation held the 4th annual Brandon Carr Elite Football & Cheerleading Camp in Brandon Carr’s hometown of Flint, MI. This year’s event was filled with over 260 student-athletes learning football and cheerleading techniques from some of the top individuals in the sports industry. Some of Brandon’s football friends joined the action this year including, Willie Henry (Baltimore Ravens), Morris Claiborne (New York Jets) and B.W. Webb (Chicago Bears) to give the students some tips from the pros.
